For more than 18 years, Acacia has become a major manufacturer of woven natural materials - rattan, wicker, and bamboo furniture. These materials combined with other natural elements such as bundled reeds, crushed bamboo, stone, wood and leather have made our designs unique and diverse. We are committed to bringing you the best in casual furniture. In 1989, Acacia began operations under Acacia Furniture, Inc. brand name until its recent name change to Acacia Home and Garden, Inc. partly due to the introduction of the Outdoor Garden Collections. This name change was also to give credit to the expanded product line that now include furnishings for the bedroom area of the home (Traditions), in addition to the existing living room and dining room collections. Rattan and wicker has virtually moved the sunroom inside the home.

Acacia Home and Garden operates a manufacturing facility in Conover, North Carolina and is vertically integrated with its manufacturing capabilities in Cebu, Philippines. This capability makes flow of product streamlined from the source of raw materials, manufacturing, as well as extruding outdoor materials. Our showroom is located in High Point, North Carolina.

The Acacia played a proud role through biblical times, when it was referred to as “incorruptible wood”.  The Ark of the Covenant the, the table of the loaves of proposition, the altar of holocausts, the altar of incense and the wooden parts of the tabernacle were all made if acacia wood.


Enduring Qualities
Acacia have long been used as a symbol for deep-rooted fortitude and resilience of spirit.  Though they are basically warm-weather trees and normally prefer year round sun, the trees are incredibly hard wearing and adaptable.

Now a protected tree species in many countries, the Acacia was a long, a valuable source of wood in the making of Fine Furniture.  Dark red-brown when new and fresh, it ages to a gleaming ebony and is highly attractive when polished.

Acacia wood is naturally light, yet hardy and durable.  Its heartwood produces natural preservatives that make it unpalatable to insects and resistant to water and other agents of decay.

Acacia's have been known to live through many centuries, unmindful of the changing seasons and the most adverse conditions.  They rise at daybreak unfurling toward the sun.  At dusk they fold up flower and leaf and retire for the night.  They make good shade trees, bearing fruit and flower all year round.  Their proud and regal bearing and their vividly colored blossoms make them attractive additions to any garden.
